Brief summary of experience
Dr Banim trained at The Mater Hospital, Dublin, The Brompton, the Hammersmith, Charing Cross and The London Chest Hospitals. He was appointed to St Bartholomew’s Hospital and The North Middlesex in 1976 and established a Cardiac Department with a Coronary Care Unit and Catheterisation laboratory at the North Middlesex Hospital. He also developed Interventional Cardiology (angioplasty) and stenting at Barts.

Highly experienced in general cardiology, special interest in coronary intervention including acute coronary syndromes, acute infarction and valvular heart disease.
